Well, I'm going to see how the suspension rear end turns out as a Spirit.
And see if that suits me....and if I can manage to ride it without falling off this one.

Got forks, headtube, cut a piece of tube for the gear mount but am short of a bottom bracket for the minute.
Have flat bar for the BB mount. Even got a mirror for it.

Have to check out what I have for handlebar and stem stuff.

Can make a start on the BB bracket tabs and seat brackets while I get the BB.

Noticed they have auto spray paint £1 a can round the corner.
Middle bit can be black, white, silver, red or blue.

I have a car seat cover that is red and black to make seat cover with.
(Aiming to do mesh seat longer term).

Oh, and missing a pulley wheel.

Chopped off and fish mouthed the two bits to join to head tube.

Got some bolts and brackets for the seat and drilled and put in insert nuts to wood of seat.

Bits of wood represent knee travel.
Need a big chunk of stem for the handlebars.

Missed ordering bottom brackets on Friday as by the time they replied I was busy fettling.

So a bit of progress.

6 weeks to built it, learn to ride it and get fit.

Bottom bracket clamp bits shaped and gear tube fish mouthed pending fine tuning when bottom bracket arrives.

Have ordered some tube for the head tube ans some for handlebar stick.
And I need a clamp for that.
Have 1 1/8 threadless forks so need to clamp stick over the to of steerer tube.

So I think I'm pretty much ready to stick it all together when the bits arrive.

Will sort out the top of the seat bracket next and need to pick a pulley wheel.

That looks really cool. I've been thinking that suspension would make this design more usable (and that using the rear triangle from a full sus MTB would save time on the build too). Once my trike is finished, I think I'll build one of these... :)
Cheers

Jolly Good.
I'll look forward to seeing that.

Aye,

Back, although improved still not good, and I'm not sure it would be happy on a spirit, so I have cleaned up another pivot piece to make the LWB one which I should be able to fit the trike conversion kit onto as well.
If I hadn't chopped off the tube in a spirit of optimism (pardon the pun) of being able to ride the spirit to build that, I could have continued making the LWB with that section I had built.

Haven't been on my bike since June.
Plus my Mum has been unwell, so I'm not at home again, so can't get on with anything.

Then there's everything else I should have been getting on with to attend to.

Ho hum!
