I have a couple of those real old bikes with the 3-speed rear hub.
I'm considering attempting to build a 20" wheel around one of these hubs.
So, who out there has already done this, & what advice can you offer?

Wizwheels has a tadpole that uses a new version of the 3 speed. I'm still trying to figure out a way to use one of these as a mid drive, like they use on some delta style trikes. There's a way of putting two cogs side by side.

Hi
I've build a few of these some for Raliegh choppers (thats what they came with)
I would treat the building just like building a BMX wheel with a large flanged hub,
one last thing watch the gearing, The drive sprocket changed with wheel size I've seen these built in to 16", 20", 24", 26", 28" and 700c all from the factory
I've found that cause of the large hub and 20 rim = short spoke lenght and bomb proof wheels
