Oh ya, we could smoke 'em all! Seems like they have not yet figured out the magic formula - rolling resistance.
Speed is too slow to worry about wind drag, but some ultra high pressure 700cc wheels on a laydown bike would win hands down.

Wow. A soapbox derby for adults. I do like that bicycle wheel steering wheel on one of them. I also thought the R Nixon DW in the Gallery was cool. Is Pinchas still around?
if you ask me... every derby should have some obstacles, which can be passed over by better soapboxes (or drive around for the less quality works...)
would be awesome ;)
if noone does something like this here, i probably will start such a "soapbox-party"

Last thing I heard, he had ridden his "R Nixon" to a commune up in the Colorado Rockies. Really, I somehow got an email from him a number of months ago. Where he is now... ???
