Asked my neighbor what he was gonna do with this thing sitting beside his house...'I'm probably gonna toss it 'cause it won't charge any more because a dog ate the wires...it only cost me $5 bucks in a raffle anyway...'

Um, toss it in may garage!! So he did!! :cool:Now I need to figure out his bad soldering and get it fixed, and maybe mod it for an AZ project!! He also told me when he found the charger (his wife rearranged AKA 'cleaned') his garage so it's temporarily lost...

I need to find some info on this thing though...any one have any info on this? I'm Googling but can't find anything...yet.

You might have a Zappy 3 EZ clone on your hands...

http://www.zapworld.com/electric-vehicles/electric-scooters/zappy-3-ez

You may be able to replace parts right from Zappy's website or on eBay using Zappy part numbers.

Looks like a good score to me!

BTW, I saw a Zap 12 volt battery charger today at a thrift store! Let me know if you think you could use it.

Thanks G. I'll let you know. My super has one he is going to let me borrow, and if it's the right one I'll let you know!!

Hey G, do you still have access to that thrifty charger? How much were they asking?

Here is the connector:

And the battery area:

Looks like 3 batteries, but I haven't unbolted them to see the voltages yet...

You can charge the batteries directly if necessary and bypass all the built-in circutry if you want. Look at the chargers at tncscooters.com and find one that matches the voltage of your batteries. They have a fair number that would work no problem I bet and they are very cheap. I use one of theirs for my 48v battery pack I created for my last project.
