Where are y'all finding them cheap? I've looked at Home Depot, Lowe's and Tractor Supply; HD & L's don't seem to have them,and TC seems to be very proud of theirs. Any other guesses?
I'll have to post the Baby Wolf mod I did to show why I need to change it...maybe tonight. I used a BB and a sprocket off a tiny kids bike, but you can't pedal in reverse (freewheeling) or the chain moves to 3rd gear instantly due to the chain deflection. I think I'm gonna have to change to the pulley...

Jim, I plan to try a HF polyurethane wheel and cut a groove in it on the lathe, or drill press. The ones I've seen at their stotre have bearings, are form 2-8" and are from $2-$6.

mine is a garage door pulley. all steel and 4 inches.
i would only recomend it as a last resort. its easy to find, but i would prefer to have a plastic or nylon one.

I also went with the 4" ones from McMaster. Cost me about $10 each, including shipping.

I am lucky that I have a McMasterCarr here in town. Of course with gas the way it is, its probably cheaper for me to have it shipped too.

I was asking the same question couple of weeks back in the DeltaWolf forum.
I ended up with a pulley from a fitness store. About 5" dia with one bearing. Yet to see how it fares.

I think it was gbbwolf said he uses the front castor wheel from wheelchairs with a groove cut. They come in different sizes.
I had the problem with the extreme angle of the chain so I moved the pulley forward onto the little reinforcement below the seat. It gives a longer chainline and less chain deflection. I'll be posting some shots later in the DWolf forum.

Yes, that's the same problem I have. Too much chain deflection. I'm working on a hack to improve this on the two upcoming Street Fighters, and see if I can improve it for the Baby Wolf somehow.
As a preview, one will be pretty much to plans, and one will be lower, suspended, and hopefully electric assisted...have to sketch out the details, and I will document the whole thing with pics and post when I'm done!!
