Because I had to build the CycleBully that destroyed the world,
this is what I have to do to swap trikes:

It's like hooking a trailer to your car. Jack it up, back the tow vehicle up to the trailer, & hook up!
I actually have to use a hydraulic jack! Serves me right for going overboard with the batts, eh? :rolleyes4:

Good thing I beefed up this hitch, huh?
At least it doens't flip the front end of THIS one up in the air!
Finally got the rest of the pics uploaded, too.

Thanx, guys! Unfortunately, I just discovered something that may put a premature end to my elation...
NOW, I find out about a law here that states, "No bicycle may be attached to any kind of motorized vehicle".
Ain't that the crap? NOW I find out!
Never mind that it's a TRIKE, not a BIKE, & that I'm not technically attaching it to a motorized vehicle,
but attaching a motorized TRAILER to IT. They'd prolly still say I'm just "splitting hairs".
I'm sure johnny law-dog will bust my chops as soon as I'm spotted, so I may have built the darn thing for nothing :(,
other than a little joy riding on back roads close to home, which is not really what I built it for.
My real intention was to have an electric with enough range to go all the way to town & get groceries,
which is why I went "all-out" on the monster batts, trying to get every last mile of range that I possibly could.
Very depressing...

SJ,
Unless you run across a real prick or you attract a whole lot of attention for some reason, I doubt anyone will ever say anything. Use "the force" in moderation around town...keep eye on rear view for curious Barney's and go on about your business,
"It ain't illegal until the Judge says so...."

Unfortunately Larry, it's been my experience that nearly every one I've encountered is a "real pr*#%".
Anyway, that would certainly be my plan, to keep it low-key & try not to attract attention,
but I'm gonna attract it anyway, no matter how low-key I keep it, that's for sure.
Just the trikes alone are enough to do THAT!
In town, or anytime I might see john law, I already planned on going real slow & pedalling constantly,
to try to make it look like it's just another HPV, but I dunno.
It's a strange looking trailer for something that I'm supposedly just towing.
Maybe I'll take a chance anyway, & see what happens,
in spite of my long history of unfortunate run-ins with you-know-who...

I'm not sure but I don't think that the Bully meets the definition of a vehicle. You can't operate it on its own as a motor vehicle or a HPV. Just a thought.

I figure they'll just say I'm "splitting hairs".
Maybe I'll give it a shot... see what happens...

I can't speak for SJ's state, but in Washington, anything with a motor constitutes a motor vehicle, even a trailer. I was considering a Cycle Bully myself until I found this out.
