Hello,

I'm inching to start looking over plans for the Street Fox.
What's your experience on which is better: Chopper-Genius book or the PDF download for the plans?

The StreetFox pdf page sez it has 300 pages, that sounds like it could have more details than the book for the SF.

I already own a copy of the Bike Builder's Bonanza.

Thanks for your insights.

Tomas from what I understand the downloadable plans are much more detailed than the books . The fact that the strret fox PDF file is 300 pages and its a little over 30 pges in the book yes I have both books would tell me the PDF plans are more detailed . I will add though that the book is pretty deatailed . I am actually getting ready to start a Baby Fox for my 2 year old grandson . I picked up the final puzzle piece last night ( amazing how hard it is to find a simple 12 inch bike used ) He is a little fella 28" tall with a 10" inseam so only option for a crank and pedal assy was a 12" setup. I will be using 16" front wheels and the back half of a 20" frame with a 20" tire. I will be building it off of the SF plans in the book with some mods for size of course and the fact it wont have a rear suspension .

Thanks, best of luck with your Baby-FS.
I find craigslist.org helps alot with finding old bikes, but those are some small sizes you're looking for.

Also I find myself driving slow through the neighborhood on trash-pickup days, it's like I've become some kind of zombie...

LOL Tomas I am well versed in all these methods of project procurement :D . I also belong to freecycle and cheapcycle ( both yahoo groups ) . I am actually picking up a pile of 20" BMX bikes in the morning off of craigslist . They listed them a month ago for $30.00 . I emailed them then and got no response last night they showed back up for $15.00 they actually got my email last night :D. I also picked up a clean 20 " schwinn and a clean 16" kent and a new with tags 24" mountain bike off of someone on freecycle :D and last week picked up a small pile of 16" BMX bikes including a mongoose with tuff type wheels also off of freecycle . I will have to get some picks of the recent loot I have picked up . The 12" bike eluded me though every goodwill in town nothing then on my way home last night I stopped at a local peddlers mall ( flea market ) and there it was on the last isle $6.00 later I had my 12" bike :D.

Hello, and thanks.

The book is word for word from the plans, but all photos are much smaller and in black and white. Other than that, the plans are the same.

Thanks,
Brad
