I went on a drive today and did some AZ related activities.
I picked up some potential donor bikes. I've been encouraged to post pictures, so here goes.

Got this beauty for $15 via Craigslist. Cables are pretty shot, but all else is in decent shape. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3058/3088046508_af74d9d300.jpg?v=0

Does anyone know if it's possible to adapt a 14mm axle into this hub?
I've read that it can be done, but not sure how new bearings or race would fit?

Or should I just order something like this when the time comes ( a long way off right now): http://www.bikeman.com/WE8695.html

Got this one for free! Wheels are 20 inch, how about those pink tires!

I paid $40 for this one back in 1985. The crank and rear derailleur are still in good shape actually:

I visited a local bike shop today, they had this Cattrike on the floor:

The owner was very nice and let me take it for a test ride.
Wow, the Tadpole design is fun and fast! The Cattrike was great, handled very well once I got the boom length adjusted for my legs.
In the nearby park I was able to purposefully get it up on two wheels for some 'stunt-turns'. It was good to look at the steering mechanism up close.
It's expensive, something like $1650 'on-sale', still much cheaper and more fun to build my own!

Also came across this place not to far from my home, could be useful:

These wheels are a bit cheaper, but sometimes Niagara takes their time delivering. But you'll get them in time if you order before you start building.

Thanks. The look decent enough. Have you used these wheels before?

I have wheels that are the same hubs, but with cheaper rims. The ones from Niagara are better than mine. If you have time to wait, the same wheels from Niagara come down to under 20 bucks each from time to time.

What tires do you use?

Would those wheels works with the 20 X 1.95 PRIMO COMET's ?

For the street fox build it looks like it's important to have the wheel and tires setup properly before starting.

I had 2.1" Elm Street tires on my quad with 1.75" rims. I got the tires from my LBS owner, who assured me they would be OK. I used them for 2 years with no problems. I switched to 2.1" Hookworms for the Streetfox, and had no problems with those either.

Good to know!

I saw in an old post your solution to the Fishmouth cut ( put cross-member 90 degrees to boom, cut 15 degrees at end, then properly cut attached cross-member at angle to boom).

How'd it work out? Did you use that solution? Does it self-center? Any rubbing on turns?

Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience, it really helps!
