Mainly for us oldies.
I hate bending over to work so all my benches are built so I dont hsve to.
Bikes hang from the roof via adjustable racks so I can get to any part whilst standing straight.
However, there is still many a time when I have to bend so I use seats.
I found an old office chair and removed the backs and arms but left the gas lift in place.
Oh bliss, adjustable from very low to quite high, easy to get the correct height to work at without bending.
Take note all you youngies out there so you dont end up like most of us oldies with crook backs.

Savarin I have 2 nice refurbished bar stools for the bench and one of the harbor freight hydraulic roll around seats for lower work . I spend way to much time at the workbench seated in front of the laptop though LOL.

Savarin, great post! I've been doing this for years and just took it for granted that everyone else did. Here's taking this ideas a little further ....
I've also got some where I've replaced the seating with old trays and in one case, an old kids wagon (minus the wheels and steering) I can lay parts or tools in them and roll them to where I need them or get 'em outta the way.
On some, I've added a pole with a rack on it and use it as a parts painting tree.

The real nice thing is most of them can be lowered and slid under a bench and out of the way.
Thanks,
Chainy
