Is it possibel for one to weld these (http://www.tractorsupply.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay_10551_10001_110538_-1______?rFlag=true&cFlag=1) or something like them into the frame instead of using the bolt on kind...?

Yes it may be possible (what will the heat of welding do to any grease or lubrication???). My biggest worry would be if the bearing somehow fails in the future -- it is sure easier and quicker to unbolt and rebolt a replacement than to grind off and reweld. I have given thought to using the two hole flange bearing for the same purpose as you are thinking. It would seem to give the DW a bit more polished, finished look to it. Hope this helps.

They usually have plastic seals, too, which wouldn't appreciate the extreme heat!
