I like it creative use of the balljoint and should give you all 3 axis no problems and as long as the trailer is loaded even should work just like a regular ball hitch on a car or truck.

That is pretty good but what's up with the piece of pipe stick forward from the left side of the trailer? A convenient way to lock up your rear wheel when you make hard left turns?
