S'up board? Just a quick intro, i'm Rick, been working on my own bikes since the day I broke my 1st one (dad taught me the basics)
Gotten into building my own after collaborating with my son on a custom chopper based on the style I used to build as a teen.
You can check that build out over at ratrods site, here's the link;
http://ratrodbikes.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=6132 I also snuck a pic of my current ride, Big Red in there.
I'm also a member of a couple of schwinn forums and chopperbicycles.net, and I think I see a few familiar names here at A.Z.
So, this has been my intro, anybody else out there from my neck of the woods?
Rick

Rick welcome to the Krew Mike's chop looks sick I like it . I might add though in the pic of him cleaning up the bolt on the bench grinder his choice of eye protection looked scarry ( he didnt have any ) . Teach him now and it will be second nature to wear safety glasses in the shop we only get one set of eyes and its to esy to ruin one or both of them out in the shop.

You know, I went back and checked the pic, and you, sir, are absolutely correct. On the left side of the grinder, you can just make out the shield in place. I guess he had flipped the shield up on the side he was using, and I missed it. :confused:
I of all people DO know better, I wound up getting a wire from a dremel wire wheel stuck in my eye last summer, ever try not blinking for 5 hours? Sad part was, I had been wearing glasses, I think it must have gotten lodged in my eyebrow, then fell into my lashes, then my eye.
It's never too early, or too late to practice work-safety. I came away from that episode just fine, luckily.
Thanks for the welcome Rickairmed and KoolKat
