We've been listening to Boston's Greatest Hits for months, and are ecstatic they're coming here! Hearing those classics brings back lots of memories back in the good ol' 80's. If you are a Boston, Eddie Money or Kim Mitchell fan, consider making the trip here for this concert. We're going! Tickets go on sale tomorrow morning.

An historic auto race around the world will include a major rock concert in Thunder Bay this summer featuring Boston, Eddie Money and Kim Mitchell.

The Great Race: New York to Paris re-creates the remarkable 1908 auto race travelling 35,000 kilometres through 12 countries. One hundred participants from around the world will take part in two classes of cars, vintage and a second category for hybrid vehicles.

Racers will make a pit-stop in Thunder Bay from June 5 through to June 7 in conjunction with a major weekend auto show festival. Also on tap is a huge outdoor concert at Marina Park featuring the big name acts and Boston kicks off the first leg of their world tour. Proceeds from the event go toward construction of the new George Jeffrey Children's Centre.

The George Jeffrey Children's Foundation will host its 5th Annual Soap Box Derby as well as an Auto Show as part of the local events. Tickets for the concert go on sale Friday morning, Feb. 29 at the Community Auditorium (http://www.tbca.com/).

Oh no way! I have Boston's Greatest Hits on my MP3 player right now! Just the other day, I looked up Brad Delp on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brad_Delp . His passing rocked the industry to its bones, he was SUCH a nice guy. If their tour (either Boston or Eddie; Kim doesn't venture down to the wilds here in the USS of Amerika) comes down here, I'm going, and I don't care how much it costs!

I last saw Boston in 1994, when they came out with "Walk On". Brad wasn't with them for the recording, but he did come out to tour with them. Tom had a FULL SIZE church organ that he used on some pieces (including Foreplay, THAT was cool), and he even came out in a Phantom of the Opera costume and played some pieces from that while the rest of the band rested backstage. The man is a genius, and an absolute showman. The entire thing was a total blast.

Guys, even if you have no idea who Boston, or Eddie Money or Kim Mitchell are, GO. You will get your butts ROCKED, old-school!

Yeah we are so stoked! Ordered the tickets this morning. I'm sure there will be lots of US dates since they're kicking off their world tour this summer. Still can't believe Brad Delp took his own life last year; what a shock. Every review and article I've read about him highlights his devotion to animal rights and humanitarian causes and his down-to-earth personality. A serious loss to the music world. We will be rocking out in his memory.
