Approximately 30 feet up, "Boots" has been up there since Saturday! (Click "full view" to appreciate) http://joeywallace.spaces.live.com/photos/cns!9D0D4DF6F50AAFC2!1326/?&_c02_owner=1&_c02_vws=1

Maybe it thinks it's a bird, not a cat! Hope it gets down OK.

If I had my new tallbike "Bad Altitude" completed, I could ride over and get that cat free.

I feel sorry for the poor thing. She sits up there & meows constantly. It's pitiful. :(

Problem is, even my extension ladder won't reach THAT high, & even if it would, she's an outdoor cat, & not used to being held, so she'd tear me to pieces if I tried to carry her down!

Yeah Brad, if I'd seen this coming, I'd have built one of your SkyCycles instead of the DW! ;)

Approximately 30 feet up, "Boots" has been up there since Saturday! (Click "full view" to appreciate)Since you've been 'flying' over trees and tall buildings with your trike, I'm surprised you just didn't fly up and rescue poor 'Boots' yourself....:D

That thought crossed my mind Richie, but it's not an exact science, as evidenced by my continued catastrophic landing history!

The photgraphic chronological history so far: http://joeywallace.spaces.live.com/photos/cns!9D0D4DF6F50AAFC2!1328/?&_c02_vws=1

I've got 2 more jumps planned, & then I'm retiring!

LOL! What a riot... but you look so comfortable and at-ease, it should be a cinch to snatch a cat from a tree and be landed before she even thinks to get a claw out!

SirJoey, wish I had a useful way to get the cat down, but all the ones I can think of don't take the cat's well-being into account. :( It sounds hokey, but have you tried calling the local FD? Even if they won't do it, they may know someone who has an extension ladder who can help you. A broomstick, a couple eyelets, and a length of rope can make a fast and easy gigging stick to keep the cat's claws away from you. Stow the cat in a fishing net once you've got her gigged, and down she comes!
Might take some scrap metal and make an anti-cat collar for the tree, similar to those anti-squirrel collars they make for bird feeders.

Thanx N9, very decent of you! I don't think fire depts do that anymore, at least not here, anyway. Some good possible ideas there, though.

Making anti-cat tree collars wouldn't be a viable option for me, cuz I live in a rural area & have about 40 trees on my property, which is also surrounded on 3 sides by woods! (Notice the backgrounds in the shots of my home-builts, which are all taken in my yard.)

As of last night before I went to bed, she was still up there. No biggie though, cuz after 3 days & nights, she finally got down somehow early this morning. I figure she prolly finally dozed off up there, & fell out. Anyway, she seems fine! She was sure hungry, though! LOL!

BTW, weren't you the one who said you might be moving to the Spartanburg/Greenville area? (I live about 60 miles South of there.)

My bad, it was "Naic". Never mind...

I kinda figured that the cat would eventually get hungry enough to find it's way down. I'm riding with n9 on the "not so friendly means of accomplishment" which is why I didn't offer any suggestions of my own.

Now we know the the secret of your spinn cycle. You are a bike builder that is head of the times. Looking at the pictures of the bikes you build I knew you were good but this blows me away nice pics.
