It was still a bit tough getting on and off the trike, so I went back to the LWB design. This time, there's no suspension, and the rear is beefed up with 2 struts. Still much work to do, but it's comfy now. I think I'll use the seat I made for the original LWB tadpole instead of the boat seat.

Hey Kid

How is that long wheel base to ride.

Any negative effects from having the wheels out in front.

Don't care for the weird fishmouths of the streetfox design.

Thought about making it more like yours.

With the 15 degree angle cut into the main tube and the crossmember welded to it.

And then something like this for crossmember.

Total length is 81" so far. I made this trike a LWB a year and a half ago, but the suspension rear didn't hold up, this should work fine with the fixed rear beefed up to counter frame twist.
Actually, my fishmouths for the headtubes are at a 15° angle. I drew a 15° line in the center of a 30" length of tube, and used it for a guide for a 1 3/8" hole saw. Then I cut it in half at the line, which gave me two 15" lengths with each having an identical fishmouth. I cut the other ends at my desired angle to get the crossmember similar to Brad's design. (I did this before the SF plans were available, so mine wasn't 45°) Now that the crossmember is straight and so far forward, I have to redo the head tubes to get caster, which disappeared with the LWB. Right now the head tubes are attached with the long length on top. If I make new ones that are long at the bottom, it will raise the front enough to give me about 6° of caster, which is fine with the LWB. I'm also redoing the OSS. I should have more pics later or tomorrow.
