What do I need to do to the front end to accomodate the a 26" fork/wheel without compromising the design? I'd imagine I'd just lengthen the tube going to the head tube, and possibly increase the angle some.

Can anyone help with that? I could probably figure it out if I drew it out on paper but I don't trust my design skills just yet.

Thanks a lot.

I realized this was a better option when I was looking at my garage... its full of 26" parts!

You should be ok just lengthening the last tube. One thing you will have to watch is the front dreaillieur clamp. It may end up being in the same position as the steering rod. This will only be a concern if the clamp or bolt is large enough to cause rubbing with the steering rod.

Awesome. Thanks Brad. Any ideas on how much longer I should make it? I figured that I should make it 8" longer because of the angle. Is that about right?

I would layout the frame and wheels on the floor to figure out the mods. This way, you can get your head tube angle and pedal clearances set correctly.
