Got my order from the "Bigbearingstore" and they are not quality. I think I can use them. What the problem is, the bearings have been pressed into the solid houseings at an angle. I managed to straighten one out and probably will be able to do the same with the others. Has anyone else seen this problem? Maybe I know now why they were half price for what I could get them here . Did manage to pickup a great new bike at the thirft store for next to nothing. Had a warped rear wheel and broke pedal. The rest of the stuff in tip top shape. Just was wondering if anyone else had problems with these bearings. Next time I will probably get the pressed steel ones. Pics soon. gphil:sunny:

They're meant to do that. The bearings themselves are replaceable so when they wear out, you don't have to buy the housings as well. Another reason is if the housings aren't perfectly lined up with each other, i.e. if one is installed at a slight angle, you could manipulate the axles and bearings to line up perfectly.

Yeah if you notice when you turn bearing sideways in the mount it will pop right out lol.
And if they are the cast bearings they are super for what we build.
If you have trouble turning them sideways I just slid axle in 1/4 inch and used it to pry it a little.

I got some lined up good. Found out they would move so the input as always is appreciated. Oh the bike I got??? A cast away at the local Good Will store. It was so new that I walked by it thinking it was some employees that they rode to work. Still had all the new little rubber things on the tires. Looks like it may have come off a car carrier while going down the road. Great for me. The lady said , " you don't want this , the rear wheel is warpped. " It had wobble but would turn in the frame and she looked surprised when I said ring it up. Sort of hate to hack it. gphil

Hurry up and hack it before the kids (if you have kids) see it or you will lose your parts bike!:jester: I have lost three really good parts bikes to the kids in the last couple months. Then, to add insult to injury, they want you to fix it up for them.:jester:
