After receiving the controller from them, I may just order the mini hub motor for the DR. It's only 250 watts, but it should be enough to help me get up hills. The motor is only about 5 1/2" wide, compared to the 9 1/2" full size motor. With the 16ah LiFePo4 battery, it's $858 including shipping to the U.S. and Canada. With a 10ah battery, it's $743, without the battery, it's $363. Click on "ebike D.I.Y." on the left side of the page. For the larger motor, you can get it from Arizona. Front wheel with the new controller (Std.) is $300 shipped to NY. Batteries extra.
