G'day Jeff,
Welcome to this mad zombie bunch. Now you've been bitten you'll never escape.
Tools are not a real big issue. A welder, angle grinder, hand drill and the usual other small tools that most people have will get you there. I did my first zombie build last year. It was my first attempt at building a bike using arc welding. Come to that it was my first real sustained effort with an arc welder and the bike came out fine. If you are determined to build the bike then you can do it. Plenty on this forum to attest to that. As to tools cost The welder I used cost about $70 AUD from Bunnings and the angle grinder was $40 from local hardware as was an electric hand drill. Not tradesman quality but they will do the job. I've since bought a better welder after much saving.

Hi Smudge, nice to have you on the krew. I take it you've got plans for the Warrior or the Streetfox or Tricruiser? I'm starting the Warrior at the moment, just got the headsets and bottom bracket done at this stage. Hope to get the frame started in the next week or three.
If you're passing through Wanganui, let us know beforehand so you can call in.
I used to cycle from Hamilton down to Putaruru every few weeks back in the 70's - you live in a very nice part of the country.
All the best, Phil
