Man, what a quandary! I love the work you make, and it gives me ideas of my own, but I also like doing things like eating and living in my house, both of which require the money I make at my job. What to do?! :D

Is this going to be a bike or a trike?

Bike. SWB bent. Hopefully, much improved over my first one.

I'd say, keep the house & switch to dog food! :D

ROTFLMAO :D:D:D

Between me posting instructables in other threads and your very good work constantly running out of your workshop, I am giving him an excuse to not do his job at work, and you are giving him an excuse to not even want to leave the house.

Oh heck, I WANT to leave the house, but I only want to go so far as the garage! :D I can probably find a laptop with wifi to snag the signal from the house, and so long as I have food and water, I'd never have to leave!

Fortunately, I got my wife to agree to let me have my garage night tonight instead of last night, because I was running all over last night. Woot! She'll see me for dinner, and then not again until bedtime! Hopefully I can clean some stuff up and get cutting on some frames.

Never mind, I figured it out...

I can't wait four our weather to warm up a bit so n9 and I can get crackin with my welder. I've had this thing for at least 4 or 5 months, and it's still in the box never even opened.

I know what you mean, Wiz. Don't that just kill you to have a new toy, & not be able to play with it? Happens to me all the time. Especially when you complete a new ride... it'll rain every time!

Actually, I'm using one of the cheapo, one piece steel cranks for my crankset as well, cuz I only have a couple of decent ones to spare, & I didn't wanna "waste" one of 'em on what is essentially an experiment here. Besides, the way this thing is designed, I could still easily make a good one later, & slide it in the end, to replace this steel  abortion.

I wish I could post pix directly in the forum like that, but my website won't let me do that unless I pay for it. (I've already tried)

BTW, how's the foot doin? How much longer u gonna be laid up?

Use photobucket.com to host the pics that you want to post to threads. Their service is free and they allow you to store a pretty generous amount of pics as well. The key to storing the most amount of pics is to keep them small, refering to file size, not actual image size.

Rear brake, derailleurs, levers & cables installed. Test ridden.

Chain management issues, twitchy handling. Much work remains: http://joeywallace.spaces.live.com/photos/cns!9D0D4DF6F50AAFC2!1340/?&_c02_vws=1

Your speed at building is amazing, Joey...!!

There are fast bike builders....And there are slow bike builders.
I guess I'm just a 'half-fast' bike builder..... :D

You forgot stagnant builders.....which is the category that I am currently in. That will change once the wonderfull midwest weather wakes up and realizes that it is now officially spring and stops dumping snow on us.

Well, after about a 3 day hiatus, I finally (briefly) resumed work on the Nexus today. Trying to resolve my chain management issues, I added another idler, but the mounting bracket was too flimsy, & bent almost immediately, since it was on the drive side of the chain, so after only 2 hours, I gave up for the day... :(

After ANOTHER 3 day hiatus, I briefly tackled it again today & resolved my chain-management issues! http://joeywallace.spaces.live.com/photos/cns!9D0D4DF6F50AAFC2!1340/?&_c02_owner=1&_c02_vws=1

Thanx, Wiz! Unfortunately, I've felt so lousy for the last couple of weeks, I can't seem to even force myself to work on it, even though I'm close to finishing it. I go for days at a time without even touching it. Then, if I do, I only last about an hour or so, & have to quit, come in the house & lay down.

The weather's been GREAT (sunny & 70s today!), but it's just me... :(

The weather's been GREAT (sunny & 70s today!), but it's just me... :(That sounds like a classic case of "Spring Fever"....!! :)
I'm starting to feel some of that now that the snow is gone, the sun is out, and temps are near 50 degrees (F).

Spring at last...!!!

She's dismantled & back on the rack again. With my chain routing issues resolved, I've made another bottom seat mount bracket, which will sit the seat directly on the frame, effectively lowering the seat height by an inch & a half.

Looks a little better too, & that's a good thing, as Martha would say. http://joeywallace.spaces.live.com/photos/cns!9D0D4DF6F50AAFC2!1340/?&_c02_vws=1

Who knows? Maybe I'll feel like working on it again in about 3 MORE days...
