Hi, Just found your site and am wanting to build one here in the UK.
Before I go ahead and order the plans could anybody tell me how many and what type of bikes I will need to collect? (my guess is 2 bmx bikes and 1 26" wheel mountain bike).also does the 26" have to have rear suspension or can the StreetFox be built with out suspension?

I found it was easier to buy two new 14mm axled BMX front wheels from a dealer then try to scrounge two bikes. Dumped, used 14mm axled BMX bikes around these parts are rare at the best of times. I already had one of those cheap, hopeless-for-anything-but-parts 26" Chinese mountain bikes with the rear suspension.

I believe the Street Fox can be built without rear suspension, but if your roads are as rough as ours, that rear spring sure does improve the ride!

Hello and welcome!

Your best bet is to acquire a decent 26" mountain bike for the buld of the parts, then purchase 2 new 20" BMX front rims with 14mm axles.
