Hi all

Over on BROL I have a thread looking for inspiration to build a velomobile [ VM ] the Streetfox rear end looks good just bolted to the wooden monocouqe I plan to build.

But it needs front suspension ?

I thought this may be workable ?

Following Brads adage use as may bike parts as possible ?

Sorry, I couldn't follow your sketch however, I think this design has merit. This is the site. http://zeept.wordpress.com/

What is a favorite ?

The drawing is from above and shows a long arm version on the left and a short arm version on the right .
The top of the drawing is the front.

a possable problem with the suspention that you drew up is that as the suspention articulates it will change the angle on your king pin, and depending on where your tierods are located it might change your toe in also.
that type of suspention is common (on cars) on non stearing axles but an A arm setup is more common on a stearing axel

I can see that these things can happen , but was after one pivot and as simple as possible.

The french 2CV is actually like this , although I am unsure how the steering is implemented it also rolls considerably which I would have though changed those angles as well ?

For a A arm setup is that like a double wishbone ? with lots of pivots ?

I have since bought a Alleweder velomobile so this project is on the back burner for now , however the Alleweder has some short comings of it's own so I may still build my own.
