I feel for ya', way up there in MI! Better you than me, though LOL!
I can relate though, cuz I was raised in northern IN, near Gary. Basically, I lived the first half of my life within 50 miles of Chicago, so I'm definitely no stranger to the northern Winters & lake effect snow! Actually, I was born in Detroit, but my folks moved to IN, right after that.
I love these mild Winters down here, but you'll have your revenge this Summer though, when I'm blistering in triple digit southern Summer heat!

Yeah I know what you mean. I live just a few miles northwest of Chicago, and Friday we got 7 inches of global warming dumped on us......of all days.....the first official FULL day of Spring.

We're feeling it, too. Still below zero most days and nights, a couple of feet of snow still on the ground. Hurry up spring!

Great weather here on Long Island. After the rain on Tuesday and Wednersday, It was around 50F, but very windy and not much fun to work outside from late Wednesday til yesterday. It's in the 50's now, with no wind, so much is getting done today in prep for tomorrow. Happy Easter!

We're still in the throes of Winter here in New England.
The calendar says "Spring", the clocks have been turned ahead to Daylight Savings Time, but old Jack Frost has other ideas.
At least we don't live in Finland where they only get 45 minutes of daylight each Winter day. Talk about depressing..!!!

Imagine thr electric bill for all those lights you'd need to hack and weld.

Just got 5 inches dumped on us last night, but alot of sunshine today and just below zero, so maybe it will melt away. Can't clean the garage yet and itching to get spring cleaning.

I bundled up and was out on the driveway last night, welding on the Jeep. I refuse to concede, I know the warm weather is out there! Sure enough, this morning the wind is STRONG out of the south, and the temps are headed toward the 50s! Of course, it'll dip back down to the 30s by the end of the week, with snow in the forecast and all, but I savor the tastes we get!

...meanwhile, it's been in the 70s the last couple of days, here! I was tinkering on one of my trikes yesterday (outdoors), & had to move to the shade, cuz I started sweating!
Living here, I actually DREAD seeing Summer come!

More snow again last night. At least I've got my nice warm Lincoln welder to cuddle up with and make some heat.
C'mon Spring....!!!!

Aside from some showers Thursday and Friday, the weather is great here on Long Island. Today was a great day for building the countertops. I should be done tomorrow, and back to the DW after a day or two of rest.
I'm editing this because I spoke too soon. The one piece of plywood that was cut correctly is finished, but the other pieces are junk. I called the lumber yard with only a few minutes left before they closed, and was able to get a new piece delivered. My neighbor helped me cut it to the right size, and I was able to continue today. All that's left is to glue the mica on 3 of the pieces, then install the countertop.

Well, this weekend we just had sunny skies with 60*+F temps. Looking ahead to next weekend, low to mid 40*'s and rain  . I didn't have much of a chance to chop up any of the donors I managed to grab over the winter, but at least I did have the chance to clear out some of the )^$(%# from my garage to make room to store the rides I am planning on building. Hopefully n9viw and I can somehow manage to get some decent weather before he moves. If mother nature is willing to co-operate with us, he and I can give my (still) new welder a hearty workout on some rides for both he and myself.

I just finished raking oak leaves then cutting the yard. I have a pile of leaves in my back yard about 15 foot in diameter and 5 foot high. I'll still be composting when hurricane season hits.
Our trees loose leaves in the spring unlike the more northern oaks. First the leaves fall off then the yellow pollen appears and coats everything then the oak flowers fall off. Then I rake and cut the grass as it's a waste to do it before then.
My yard has lots of bananas, 4 have fruited and soon they will drop to 5 cents a pound at the store ( anything I grow becomes super cheap it seems just as mine ripen ).

Geez, guys! You're raking leaves and we're shovelling snow. Can we stay with you for awhile?

A few months from now when my climate is more Sauna like and the weather channel is obsessing on hurricanes you will be in the better area. I've thought about being a sunbird ( reverse snowbird ) when I retire, although the way things are going I might have to die on the job.

It is wet but at least its snowing again. Does not seem to be sticking. This is Michigan spring for you. Rain and snow all weekend no ride time that is what sucks the most.
