So where can I get the best bargain? I good product at a reasonable price. I don't trust some of the ebay bargains as the sellers have iffy reps. I need 6 batteries for my "secret" project.

If you are using lead acid gel batteries, go to Digikey.ca
Good prices, and next day delivery. Over $200... free shipping.

That's a lot better then what I was quoted. I was looking at 2100 for 10, plus shipping. Now I can get 6 for a heck of a lot less.

Duralast Deep Cycle Marine Batteries from AutoZone are 85 amp hour flooded lead acid monsters that are like $85 each but come with a 3-year replacement warranty and if you turn in a dead battery they will knock something like $20 off the battery purchase. I used 4 of them in my last project and they worked great.

Great idea for buying from DigiKey, I didn't know they sold batteries at all! I buy a lot of electronics from them all the time - great company to deal with.

Try www.ebikes.ca
They have a lot of information comparing various battery chemistries, too.
