First round of spoke tightening is complete, and they seem to be centering up nicely.

I hate flash! this one the hub color is right (black) but the wheels look lighter than they are. The last picture got the rim color closer.

meh not so much it is going to take a pass with the grinder to cut off the excess inside... i am at the ragged edge of running out of threads to get em in and tight... but it will work.

*sigh* I had to back up a step. I deviated from the Skip 6 holes on the plans and went back to skip 8, it just tightens up better and leaves a little more adjustment. I am going to lace the second one to this point then mount my bearings on a bench and do the final tuning.

Don't know how much Bike stuff I will get done this weekend as I have a new project to play with. Taking delivery of a 1945 Studebaker "weasel"

( amphibious track rig for those of you unfamiliar with old armor )

I get to get an old flathead running!

Wheels are coming along nicely. Interesting how the bike spokes lace into the car wheel. I want to give it a go. But where could I ride it. It wouldn't be allowed on the roads or paths here.

Re the weasel. When I was a kid just after WW2 my dad and my uncles bought some tanks at a sale.

There was a General Grant, A couple of Stuarts and some engines. No guns though. They were used for pulling ploughs and land clearing. I don't know what happened to the Stuarts but the Grant is now in a museum.
