Hi all,

Have noticed that there is always a lot of people wanting to see videos/pics, yet there is nowhere for people to learn how to make such items, such as steadycams, and cantilevered jibs.

This simple sketch shows what parts are needed to build a mini-steadicam

and these pics show the finished product...

The small springs were added to just put tension on both sides of the mount.

If you dont want to make a steadicam, you can always use a small beanbag, or wheatfilled bag as a cushion under the camera, and a strap to secure the cam to the vehicle.

If you find the wind getting into the camera's mic, then
a) cover the mic with a small piece of tape,
b) a small piece of high density foam,
c) or place the camera behind a clear plastic screen, or in a small water-proof plastic bag

If you get one of those fat, spongy, foam handlebar grips, or a piece of foam pipe insulation and put it on under the bottle and hose clamp it adds another layer of vibration and shock absorbtion.

unfortunately, the video didn't load properly, too long!, so will have to try and find an editor to shorten video.
