Here's a nifty, simple little jig for bending seat stays, without kinking.
Just add heat:

Thanx to A.D. Carson for turning me on to this little trick
a couple of years ago! I finally got a chance to use it! :D

I'm just sharing it, as it was shared with me! :)
It really does work quite well, though!
Now you know where I got that tiny rear triangle... :laugh3:

Joey that is a neat trick with the bending. I tried a full curve in the seat stays once with a small conduit bender, cold. It was tough because I left both stays together at the bar for the fender. I was lucky to get them even. Did your leave yours together when you bent them?
Here's some pics of mine

I think I like to try a preset curve like yours next time. I've got the insert I cut from one of those donut spare tires that might be the right size curve.

Neat trick. I use a pair of cast iron V belt pulleys I found somewhere. One each side and wire them back tight then bend away. I've always cold bent them. Never had a problem with kinks. Think I'll adapt your ideas to my pulleys using a bit of shafting and an eye bolt. Great trick.

using that method! You are a brave man, indeed! :laugh3:
And yeah, notice in the pics, the brake bridge is still welded on, making it easy
to get both stays exactly the same, with a nice, smooth radius that looks factory! :)
