Spent 3 hours Sunday cutting and welding the 2 steering booms onto the frame. Brad is right, you need a lot of patience. I stared at it for an hour before I figured out something that would work for me. I used jigs to hold the front wheel and bike frame in place and then slowly cut the boom to get the angle. After I was done the with the first boom, I made a paper template and traced it onto the other boom (turning the paper over to get the mirror image).

You might be able to use my template to get started on the angles for both booms (just turn the template over to get mirror image on the second boom and maybe stretch the 6 Inch space a bit so that you have room to fine tune the angles. Also think about what you are doing because a mistake here requites a lot of extra work). But I am not sure if each bike build will be slightly different.

I am hoping that this is the correct design that Brad is after. I think the Warrior steering build is more accurate and a bit easier than the StreetFox tadpole's tricky cuts for the steering boom (I love the StreetFox, I built 2 of them!). I can't wait to test drive this trike, it sure has an elegant design! And the electric assist will be interesting.

Looks great so far!

Only after building a trike can one appreciate the $4000 price tag.

Its too bad we all use different sized head tubes and wheels/tires, or Brad could include a template that would work in the plans. I like the 90 degree jigs to hold everything while you adjust and eventually tack. I think another poster used something similar on the StreetFox in the old forum. As Brad says in the plans, I would make sure to cut the tubes a bit larger than the ultimate size to allow for final grinding when you fit it, even with a template.

Nice addition to the plans! I need to print this out as an alternate and put it in my copy of the Warrior! Very detailed!
