OK, let me start off by stating that Daniel Day-Lewis is a fantastic actor. I enjoyed his performance in this movie. But, 158 minutes of a long drawn out tale of a smooth talking oil entrepreneur was unrealistic. There will be many trips to the bathroom and the kitchen to fix a snack just to kill time.

The story was good overall, as was the acting, etc., but seriously, no modern day flick can even come close to Heart of Darkness - been there, done that. The characters were interesting, but predictable. No major "Ah ha" moments, or surprises. Too bad, because it could have been a fantastic movie.

It got so predictable during the last half hour I actually wandered around the house trying to find something else to do, popping my head in asking, "Isn't it over yet?"

Even No Country for Old Men held my interest longer, although the ending sucked. There Will Be Blood should be renamed, There Will Be An Ending - Eventually. Sorry, Daniel. You rock, but this movie doesn't.
