I gonna be building a chopper/cruiser trike in the near future. My current build got one of those trike kit that you bolt on but I don't want to use that on the next one. I was looking at the Samagaga diffirential but I imagine that will be costly. Have anybody got a design or picture for the two wheel drive axle?

Here's one....

It's made for a motorized go-kart, but will work with a trike.
You can drive it with a coaster brake hub (click the link below) or a geared transmission.

Yeah, I've look at those. I reckon they're cheaper than the Samagaga diffirential. My only concern is finding a sprocket to work with that. The one they have for that is probably too thick for a bicycle chain.
How do you change the order on the threads, everything is backward?

Go up to the blue menu bar, on the far right is the "Display Mode". Change it to how you like it.

can anyone tell me how the (website-linked) differentials work?
They look too small to actually have spider-gears like a car axle,
they look more like a direct-drive locked axle.
Please inform me.
Thanks.

Hi, Josh...
Here are a couple of (blurry) pix of my differential when I had it torn down last year.
Yes, there are spider gears inside.
I hope this helps...

wow, thanks for the pic. posts.
I'm looking to build a locking diff. I'd like it to be a true open diff in unlock mode, just haven't figured out the best way to do that yet. I was wondering what my options were... maybe I could possibly purchase something already out there. Any info on where I can be looking for Diff. Parts? My application will require something that can handle a large (300 pound) load and lots of torque.
thanks again for the quick responce, any guidance as to where I can do more homework is appreciated.

No...it came off of a rusty old Columbia 'Granny' trike.

Anyone else..???

I got a response from them awhile ago but I couldn't understand what they were saying, just didn't make sense. Greenspeed suppose to have these Samagaga for their trike and been said that they will sell the diff. alone. Never got a response from them either.

My sidewinder trike has a differential. The sidewinder company has always been very helpful whenever I needed them for something. Shoot them a e mail.
