This a guy from Marquette Michigan in the Upper Peninsula ( A Yooper, eh). I saw an article about him this summer. He makes some really incredible pieces of furniture from bike parts. Maybe some of you will get some ideas. I think that Brad and Kathy need to make some barstools for their workshops. Enjoy!

Glad to be in the group and I thought you would like this guys furiture designs. I purchased the Street Fox tadpole trike plans a few weeks ago and just purchased the Overkill plans this week. My 101 Spy Gadgets book also arrived this week. This stuff is right up my alley. I love to build and fix stuff. I'm a mechanical engineer and design shipboard equipment Carriers, destroyers, etc... My free time I repair pinball machines, video games, build kayaks, kids toys, carve realistic fish carvings and work on my sports car. Kind of a jack of all trades. I live in the U.P of Michigan and like to be the guy with something different. Here are some links to my stuff. Hopefully there will be pics on my Chopper build. I plan to build a Chopper that is along the lines of Hannan Customs.

VERY VERY VERY VERY Nice work!!!!! I especially love the fish, they look so realistic. The kayak and pedal planes look so good you'd swear they were store bought, but just like in the kitchen.....you simply can not beat home cookin'. I think you'll fit in here perfectly.

That kayak is is sweat and very nice fish carvings. From the looks of your work you will build some really sweat bikes. Hope to see some pics of them. That is some kool furniture.

Just great, another ultra-talented builder to set the bar even higher! My crap's lookin' worse all the time...

Seriously, your work is out of this world, Bunk! Really amazing! Love the planes. Your son looks a little concerned, maybe pre-flight jitters? LOL!

The 3000 GT is SWEET! Nice mod with the doors!

Speaking of Michigan, when I was a little boy, my folks gave me a puzzle of the United States. Each state was a seperate piece, with Michigan being 2 pieces. The UP was labeled "Mich" & the LP was labeled "igan". I thought they were 2 seperate states, Mich & Igan! I finally found out better about a year ago! LOL!

Welcome to the Krew, you'll fit right in with all the loonies here! :D

Thanks for the compliments guys. Glad to be in the forum. This hobby is getting expensive for me already. I just picked up a new MIG welder yesterday. I bet it has been 18 years since I laid a bead of weld. It got to the point were I was using up all my favors for people to weld stuff for me so I figured I might as well just buy one now. Now the hunt begins for a used rear motorcycle tire for my Chopper build. I'm the type of guy who has to have all the parts first before I starting building. I already did a quick layout of a frame in Solid Works. I never worked with round tubes in Solid Works so I did this layout as a quick learning experience. The layout is patterned off of Erics Chopper (Hannan Customs)

Right now I'm just not sure on how big of a main tube to use. I was wondering about new exhaust pipe material. Checking out the weight of the bigger conduit and it tends to get pretty heavy. Anyway the layout was done just as a practice and get stuff on paper for a start.

Sir Joey I think my plan is to do a rear tire like you did with a motorcycle tire but I will probably spoke it. I think the hardest part will be finding a rim that is big enough. At least that is what I plan to do right now. Well I need to get going. Talk to you guys later.

Whoa! You sure have some talent, nice work! :D Actually, we've kicked around the idea of building electric bar stools to do some bar stool racing, head down the street for groceries, beer store, etc. http://www.barstoolracing.net/ The possibilities are endless!

Say Richie, didn't you post this same link or another one similar to it in the old forum?Ypu've got a good memory, Joey. Yep...that's the site. I'm sure there'll be some overlapping between the new and old Forums for awhile. There's a TON of good info still over there.
