View Full Version : Rear Fork Alignment Jig

I went by the plans for the Warrior as for setting up the rear fork measurements. Tacked both forks to a piece of scrap, and thought there has to be a way to make a jig where you don't have to tack the end of the forks, get you spread set right, then have to clean up the forks again. So I came up with this jig, where if I make another Warrior, I can put the forks in my jig, get my angles just right AND not have to grind the forks clean again.

Yep, if I build another bike using those forks I will build a jig. Mine came out about 3/8" out of alignment. Fortunatly I was able to make up most of the difference with the drop out placement.

Nice. When I made mine, I messed it up the first time and tack welded a piece of sheet steel across both ends to hold everything in place.

I like your way better.
