I decided to change the bottom bracket on my trike.

1) Chopped up old two wheel cart of 3/16" plate.

2) Marked the curve.

3) Ground curve.

4) Checked fit. ....Repeated steps 3 and 4 till happy with fit.:)

5) I set everything in place.

6) I left the chain stays on to align with the bottom of the pulley to get the right angle for the derailleur

7) Tacked it in a couple of spots. Notice the ground clamp on the C-clamp.

8) Cut off the chain stays and turned it upside down to finish welding

Nicely done. Love leaving the rear frame in place for initial alignment! :sunny:

Sometimes getting things aligned is the hardest part... I am at the point of welding the rear frame to the seat tube on my DW build. Enought weight to be a PIB while trying for some precision in alignment.
