While it's nice to ride the trike, I missed the power chair. It's so much fun to zip by pedestrians and trip them with my cane. So I took a ride this morning, and I was saddened to find no one walking.
Disillusioned, I had to find something fun to do. Maybe I could find some people at the train station, rushing to get to the train, and I could take my trusty cane and maybe trip a few at a time. I was almost there, and the train came.
This was a sad state of affairs. The next train wasn't due for another half hour. I wasn't about to wait that long.
I thought, "What would Bill Cosby do"? What came to mind was his Revenge album.
So I rode past the newspaper guy and spit on him.

Funny how good stuff comes to mind when deprived of sleep.

Maybe I'll hook up a boxing glove to the trikes like in The Little Rascals.

I don't remember that, but it sounds funny! :D

BTW Kid, you mentioned your disability in some of your other posts, so it's more than just the fact that you broke your leg on the bent?

Compressed discs in my neck, bad right hip, knee problems.
I suffered a severe loss of strength in my right arm, in the neck injury, which was a factor when I broke my leg. I couldn't hold the bike up when it went over. If the boat seat wasn't so wide, I could have used my leg to help support the weight of the bike.

Oh man, sorry to hear all that! I can soooooo relate, though. Degenerative discs in my lower back, & severe bursitis in both hips. No wheelchair, though (yet), although Doctors told me years ago that it was a real good possiblity eventually. (Sounds more like a BAD possibility, to me, LOL!) Thank the man upstairs, I'm not there YET! :)

Anyway, that's why I got into bents way back in 1985. They're great. On a bent, my hips & lower spine don't painfully move back & forth, like on an upwrong.

I know you've mentioned your knees a few times. Mine aren't bad, so far. I get an occassional twinge, but so far, I've been lucky. I'm really careful with 'em though, & try to never stress 'em, cuz I can already feel 'em, & it'd be all too easy to seriously injure 'em now.

I only got the chair because of the broken leg. I've had bad knees since I was a kid, the neck and hip were work related accidents. I can't walk for too long a distance, but the bents (and the chair) make all that a moot point. The broken leg was the worse. That cut my walking distance by about 80%, but with the bikes and the chair, it doesn't matter, because I can go almost anywhere I want to. Until I resolve the disputes I have with the DMV, my only limitation is getting to one of the fishing boats I go on. The only access is by parkway, which prohibits bicycles.
