Nice score!

Is that a unit with a single motor and differential, or is it the Fortress Scooter design with dual motors?

That would be fun indeed! I have taken wheelchair motors that had 8 inch wheels directly on the gearbox shaft, then geared them up for up to 4X the speed, and they still had decent power.

One crazy thing I built from a wheelchair ended up moving at 25MPh or so! The original wheelchair was no more than a fast walking speed.

That motor of yours will probably only draw 30 or 40 amps, so a small scooter controller would be fine.

The one goofy thing about many of these gearmotors is that the output shaft is often metric, so sprockets need to be drilled.

I had papa's knowledge of controllers and such.
Cause I got this electric wheelchair stripped down almost to that point.
But I lack batteries also LOL.

I was thinking 20 inch wheels in the back to replace these ones.
Duel 24 volt motors is what mine has.

Soon as I strip out the hydraulics and stuff be lot lighter.
It is supposed to do like 5mph now with 20 inch wheel be faster.

Maybe a good winter project.

I can save up and get some batteries.

Ahh wishful thinking LOL.
