Hey guys,
This lady I know wants me to build her a pull behind "stroller" for her 16 year old mentally handicapped child. He's 100 lbs. now, but is expected to keep growing just like any other child.
She's looking for something that can be detatched and used as a stroller. I was thinking of using a simple trailer method (like the ones for toddlers) except mounting an oversized stroller on the axle and frame.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I'm doing this for nothing, so I need all the ideas I can get.

Thanks,
ScottRod

Hi

heres a design I just came across
http://www.ihpva.org/people/tstrike/rectrailer.htm (http://www.ihpva.org/people/tstrike/rectrailer.htm)
don't know if the young man can pedal but foot rests and straps could be made. The delta wolf plans could be a template -- just no front wheel needed.

Heres a site for special needs -- maybe copy something here:

here is a pick of a little more ambisous build : made by a friend of mine John Murray for riding with his son who has Down Syndrome. John rides o the recombent part and Nathan rides on the upright part.

Hey Papa

I like how they did the slack chain tehsioner thingy. Looks like they have lots of adjustibility in the system.

Over all a nice design but I could not see myself wanting to take off the front wheel and steering tube when going to trailer mode evertime as they show in the picture

Did someone say "Quick Release"..???
Click here to see my 'Quad Mod' for the DeltaWolf which allows me to easily change from a trike to a quad in seconds.

This same method could be used to attach a tow bar.

It also comes in handy when transporting the DW/Quad. It shortens it enough so that it easily fits in the back of my mini-van.

Think i just saw a trailer for a bike at walmart today for like 89 bucks
Might not be sturdy enough but might give you something to look at for idea's.
