Hi, I'm new to the site and I've started a chopper project.
The plan for the drive was to have an old coaster as a jackshaft, between the chainring and a go kart tire in the rear. I'm trying to come up with a way to get the two in line, because the flange on the coaster is much farther in the frame than the drive flange on the wheel. Any ideas?

2 crazy ideas for you...

1) cut a 1 piece crank arm and bb in half, add metal to make it wider.

2) use a 10 inch kid's bike rear wheel to drive the fat rear wheel with a friction drive. Of course, the final drive will make you pedal in reverse, but that may be a bonus on a rad chopper.
