Okay I have finally decided what I am going to build for my first project. It is going to be a modified version of the Fujin. I just got back from Target and they had an all steel frame dual suspension mountain bike that was on sale for $89.00. I went out to the steel yard and picked up some tubing and I am in the process of designing the frame now. No pics as of yet but I will be posting a complete build of this project over the next few months. I have very little time to fabricate but I will be posting lots of pics in the future.

Goals are to have a 26" rear wheel and 20" up front. Full suspension front and rear. 21 speed grip shifting. Low profile.

Once I get some drawings together I will begin posting. If you guys have any suggestions please feel free to post up.

Wish me luck and perseverance

Are you going to use 3" diameter muffler tubing, or what?

Well today I took the new bike apart and thinking of ways on how to construct the frame. I am looking at keeping the front shock but I will have to cut it down by three inches. I think it is possible to make it work but I will have to spend a little more time. I will probably replace a few of the parts as well with better components. The bike weighed in at 46.3 pounds and that was without the seat on it. I definitely will have to shave some weight.

I took a lot of measurements and hopefully will have a sketh made up in a week or two maybe sooner if my wife gives me some free time from honey do's.
