After following an initiation welding course, I started building a warrior in my cellar.

Welder is a cheap (70€) stick welder. I have to turn a knob really hard to change the amount of current :)

After having bought an automatic helmet (about 50€) things are getting better.

Great start - I also started welding in a basement. Throw a fan in the window, and it's not too bad!

Welcome Martinierius.

Brugge ain't that far, maybe an option to exchange ideas and other stuff with a good pint in the near future?

I can start by giving some "shop information":

For wheels, tyres, brakes etc I had some interesting deals on www.chainreactioncycles.com (http://www.chainreactioncycles.com)

Spokes where fairly cheap here: http://www.newsonsportec.com/
39dollar for 72 spokes, 2mm diam, 204mm length
inclusive shipping and spoke nipples

Interesting.

I bought myself a new electric bike with a broken battery for €150 trough the Belgian auction-site www.vlavem.com
, looks a good parts-sponsor for my Streetfox.

But in the meantime I gathed such a bunch of normal wheels, I'll have to give a few away or turn them in at the scrapyard.
