Hey, everybody!

Just wanted to let you know (even though most of you are, like, "Who the hell is that guy?" since I never post here) that I took my newly finished Meridian out for it's inaugural run! It's not painted, and, as is tradition around here, it seems, it has no brakes or shifting abilities. But it's awesome nonetheless!

I did make a few modifications in chain routing which you'll see in the pics when I post them, most notably a derailer/pulley combo like the one in the picture of Brad's new marauder design.

Anyway, I'm excited and thought I'd share.

Pics very soon!

Awesome! Congrats!!! Isn't it a great feeling? I just got done painting mine tonight. Now I have to let it sit to cure for the week, then it'll get put together possibly this weekend. Then, I start riding the darn thing! I also have to upholster the seats... can't wait to get it done!

I can't wait to see the pix!

Hi, mrbiff....glad to hear you're finally on the road. We've been following your progress since you joined us in March.

With your occupation, perhaps you could paint it with a musical motif...lots of musical notes and a scale weaving it's way along the frame.
Just a thought...

yeah, as for that musical motif. maybe if i did that then i could wear my "piano keys" tie when i ride it and maybe make a treble clef ornament for the top of that front head tube. No, in all reality, I'm of the opinion that if you have to advertise that you're a musician by wearing things with music notes on them then you're probably not a very good musician. not to offend all the folks out there who are musical and have license plates that say things like "SING-R." I'm sure you're fabtacular, that just hasn't been MY experience.

Anyway, the new meridian has two coats of flat black on it. (I bought my stepdaughter a Trek SOHO in flat black for Christmas and I liked the look of it so much, I thought I'd copy it. Anyway, flat black doesn't show all of my crappy welds the same way a glossy paint job would!)
