Greetings! I found a very nice looking poly seat shell on the following recumbent website:

http://www.recumbentparts.com/cat/0/50/110/0/seat-shells.html

They are nice shells, but the cost + shipping to the states is too much.

Does anyone know a supplier of these seat shells (or similar) in the states for a reasonable price?

Rob, you can build your own, like a few of us are doing right now (Richie104 (http://forum.atomiczombie.com/showthread.php?5533-26-quot-Wheel-on-the-front-%28Possibly-a-work-log-later-on%29), River (http://forum.atomiczombie.com/showthread.php?5861-My-new-project&p=59171&highlight=#post59171) and myself). I posted the plans on this thread post #28 http://forum.atomiczombie.com/showthread.php?5533-26-quot-Wheel-on-the-front-%28Possibly-a-work-log-later-on%29 (http://forum.atomiczombie.com/showthread.php?5533-26-quot-Wheel-on-the-front-%28Possibly-a-work-log-later-on%29)
hope that helps

looks good. I may have to reconsider wood. currently looking to make a versions of Spinner's aluminum seat. We'll see how it turns out.

Or you could use the wood form as a base using thinner wood then lay a layer or 2 of carbon fiber yourself. I believe spinners seat is steel not aluminum . If not carbon fiber the fiberglass it with a black dye to fool people that it is carbon fiber. All up to you.

Nope, my seat is definitely aluminium. Steel would be... heavy.
