Okay! Okay! Here are 2 preliminary pics. The welds aren't even cleaned up yet, and one dropout isn't fully welded. That's my test BB with short cranks. There's going to be a short stabilizer that the BB will mount to to raise it. The BB will be welded to the frame, and the handlebars and seat will be adjustable. I used my cane in the second pic to show the trail. It's hard to see in the grass, but the trail is 1/4". If I put 20" wheels on the rear, the trail increases to just under 1", which is within the limits I set. Some builders will argue that 2" of trail will give better handling, and less than an inch is old school, but I had 2" of trail on the Meridian, and the steering was a bit twitchy at low speeds. There was also excessive wheel flop due to a too shallow head angle. There's a bit of wheel flop on the hauler, but it doesn't seem to be as noticeable with less trail. The theory is that 2" of trail will cause the wheel to be self centering once you start moving. That was true with the Meridian, but I had to be going at least 5mph before it self centered. So now I'll go by the old school theory and see what the difference is.
The legs and dropouts still have to be trimmed, and I'll be using some 1/2" square tube to reinforce the bends and act as a decoration. I may use twisted bar instead, if I still have any.

Thanks. I trimmed the forks and welded the dropout, now all I have to do is weld the ends, make the disc caliper mount and weld it on, and sand it. I didn't like the way the reinforements looked with a fender, so I won't be adding them. The fender prevents spray, so it wins. The front wheel will be a 20" 68 spoke to match the eventual rears, but that's a moot point anyway, since I plan on using a hub motor up front. The hub motor I'm interested in is disc brake compatible.
