Howdy folks;
Just in case anyone is going electric, there's a group buy going on now that will give the best price ever on a set of lifepo4 batteries. If you're tired of dragging around the weight of lead acids or just need some serious cross country capability it might be worth looking into. I'm going with two 36V-20ah batttery packs. I bet an electric Delta Wolf with a 40 mile range could replace a car in about any city.

Howdy folks;
Papa, I don't have anything to do with the group buy. It has nothing to do with anyones business & was just formed a couple of weeks ago to get a bunch of folks together to get a good price. A 36v-20ah pack with a balancer 475$ is the best I've ever seen. Please just brouse around the group for a while I'm sure you will see what I mean.

Here's what I found in their group:

12V X 20Ah = $220.00
12V X 30Ah = $280.00
36V X 10Ah = $285.00
36V X 20Ah = $475.00
48V X 10Ah = $410.00
48V X 20Ah = $600.00

They appear to be ordering from a company called Headway.

As with everything, buyer beware. Do your homework, contact the seller(s) directly. Might be a legitimate thing, but I would definitely talk on the phone with whomever is putting this deal together and get his/their full contact info. You'll have to get the lowdown on any customs fees and additional charges when the goods enter the country. The choice is ultimately up to you, of course.

Nonetheless, I'd only offer a deposit of 15-20% to confirm my order, then remit the remainder when the goods are in my hands.

Good idea Kat. Too many people get burned with Internet scams. Personally, I think I'll wait for the batteries to come down in price, or but a different type of lithium battery pack.
