Hi All,
I am new to this forum but I have built many things and I just completed my Tadpole, The advertised cost to built was $200.00 but I put in about $250 to $300 in the project and am happy with the results. I figure with the rise in prices for everything I got off cheap and it was a lot of fun. I will be adding some accessories in the future and I plan on building the wife one when she realizes just how much fun this thing is. I will add some pictures to show the final result.:)

Most excellent work John. Welcome aboard. Can you tell us where you sourced the major parts, such as rear triangle, wheels and fenders? It looks very professional. The seat also looks great - did you follow Brads plans for it? Is it a 26" rear wheel?

Thanks all,
I got the main donor bike from Wall Mart and a couple other donor bikes from Good Will for cheap($10.00) and the 20" rims and fenders from Bike Parts USA. The tires and brakes along with the double pull brake lever I got from E-bay real cheap and they where even very good quality. I decided not to use the 26 inch steel rim of the Wall Mart bike so I found an alloy rim on E-bay also and it cost about $27.00 shipping included. I had the Metal for the frame sitting in the storage area from another project so I did not need to buy any steel. I painted the frame with some Rustoleum that I had from a previous project. It was a very fun project and I really enjoy riding my trike. I am now riding it and getting the bugs out of it(minor adjustments).

Outstanding, John! That is really one fine looking machine! Truly exceptional work, man!
Yeah, it's pretty obvious that this isn't the first thing you've ever built!

Keep up the great work, & welcome to the Krew!

John,

That is what all of us like to see, a fully completed bike that is nice, crisp and clean. What it does is it promotes to others that a trike that looks like a purchased trike can be built anyone with a little time and some old bikes for parts. Nice ride!:)
