This rear frame deviates enough from the plan that it may be trouble... take a look at the photo's and let me know what you think.

Problems that I see:
1) I'd be tempted to delete the pivot bracket between the shock and the swingarm, but my concern is the rear frame may become too flimsy (prone to twisting) without it. I could invert this bracket to better fit the Marauder design.
2) My ability to recreate the ears (by the bottom bracket) in steel to mount to this rear frame. The holes may require a higher level of precision than I'm capable of.
3) This rear frame may push the seat post too far forward, creating an excessive wheel base.

My investment was minimal so if the opinion is to keep looking, I will.

All input appreciated...

That is an odd frame! I would probably keep that one for something else. Like you said, it would make the frame very long - maybe 12-16 inches longer than needed.

If it was steel, it could easily be adapted, but it looks like aluminum to me.

And it's already a looooong bike, so I'll wait. Good eye, it is aluminum... I was leaning away from using this one, so thanks for the 'nudge'. I still got a lot of good parts off this donor. My search continues !!

Thanks Brad !
