I thought Dwane made his from metal, but maybe my memory is failing on that. In the old forum somewhere, a picture was posted that told how he built them. I agree that it was probably the best looking DW I have seen, but there are some really nice other ones too.

Yeah, I have to agree on both counts, TM. I think those fenders are metal, & yes, there are some VERY nice ones out there!

Hey, Nelson...Since I'm always on the lookout for fresh 'road kill', you'd better not leave that nice Wolf parked near those trash cans. Some nefarious individual (like me) might come along and "Pick up the trash".....!!!

Thanks RR

But you might wanna look in those trash cans.
Might be some valuable salvage in them too.

Oh and the plastic totes have even better treasure.

That is my storage for all my hidden treasure.

SHHHHHH

Thanks for the links papa will look at them in a bit.

By Jove, I think that is it. Good find Sir J. I couldn't find mine.

Its was those creases in the sides and mentions of metal shrinking that made me think it would be difficult for me to make them (no fancy metal bending equipment here), but I think you could just substitute a small metal rod tack welded to the piece for stiffeners. I am not sure how I would shrink the edges to make them fit. If I were to make one, it would probably be along the lines of the simple chopper fender Brad constructed in the Bicycle Builders Bonanza book, but with only one side. Then again, I really like the way those store bought fenders look on John933's tadpole look.

Great design, Little more complex than I hoped.

But then everything that is good isn't always easy LOL.

I have a buddy who works in a metal stamping plant.

They have all kinds of benders and stuff.

I'll show the picture to him and see what he thinks.
