I came across one of these
http://www.goingfaster.com/angst/fisher1.jpg
(without the Oompa Loompa colored child on it....seriously...kids should NOT use self tanning cream....)
It was busted up except for the motors which still work.
Interestingly there are two of them set "outrigger" style that seem to work independently, but have a common "axle" connecting them.
Each motor is linked to a pretty hefty gear box so they each drive a wheel on their own. The "axle" is there I am guessing to prevent the plastic body from distorting under torque.
Any ideas on what to do with thses things? I know they are "underpowered", but there has to some part of this that is usable. Those gearboxes look interesting...
PS - these are a good source of hard-core connectors. The intire wiring harness is insanely overbuilt. Good for the stuff that might get exposed to the elements.

Cause I see nothing to look at.
Ok I see the picture now.
Funny thing is just yesterday I saw a kid riding an electric bike just like that in the trailer park here.
Him and his grandma riding down the street.
Him on that bike and grandma on her mobility scooter.
Wheres joey when I need Him. LMAO

All I had as a kid was a set of lawnmower wheels nailed to the ends of some 2x4s!

When I was a kid, my daddy saved old spark plugs and string for us to play with. Times were tough in Texas in the early 50's if you were a career soldier at Ft Hood and had a family. Heck, it was so bad, sometimes, that I had to fight my imaginary friend for the last biscuit....we didn't have a bicycle in those days. In fact, we had to share one pair of shoes for the whole school year...and usually it was my older sister that got to pick out the shoes...

I can relate, Larry. I had to walk 5 miles to school, barefoot, in the snow, uphill... BOTH WAYS!

When my brothers & I were kids, except for the part about "uphill both ways", my Dad actually used that one on us, & he was SERIOUS!
When I finally grew up (last year), I was shocked to discover what an all-time cliche' it really was!
I can only assume that he had told it for so long, that he actually believed it! :(

Hmmm... sadly, that just means that I have to choose between believing that he was demented, or just a liar. Tough call...

No, Sir Joey, neither a liar nor demented...Just a good 'ole Boy who liked to have a little fun once in awhile! My Dad and about six Uncles on both sides of the family were good, honest, hardworking, and FUN LOVING family men who used to stay up late planning outrageous things to tease us kids with!
Many of the things they came up with were like old fables...truth, part truth, stretched truth, and made-up stuff to pull-our-legs with and to challenge our thinking and our gullablity.
The "stand in the way of the truth" line was a joke.
This was a fun thread with no serious issues at hand.
When I'm dead and gone I can only hope that my family and friends thought as much of me as I did those men....

My dad said he walked to school 5 miles in the snow, uphill, both ways, and when it wasn't snowing, it was raining and the river overflowed onto the dirt road he had to walk on, and HIS father had to do the same for 10 miles. That was in 1955 when my sister started school. My brother said he heard the same story before I was born.
