Has anybody added a Loderunner style cargo box to a Kyoto? I like the idea of the LR but I would really like to have a social bike.

How about ditching the second seat and putting your cargo next to you? Might be an option. ;)

I'm hoping to be able to put my kid in the seat next to me. Since the Loderunner is so long I hate to add a trailer to the back and make it even longer.

What's so difficult? Just build a box and some mounts and bolt it to the rear of the KC.

That's what I was planning. I just wanted to see if anybody had already done it and if it threw off the weight distribution or caused it to handle oddly.

Considering the design of the KC, one person could ride it without tipping. Place the box so it's centered on the frame, and the weight of the cargo centered in the box. If one person is riding, the place the weight to the unoccupied side to make riding a little easier.
