Yes- You can- But realize that 10 year old's will be 20 before you can blink your eyes. You and anyone else can make a Warrior out of anything you desire. You may want to use appropriately smaller rear wheel maybe 20 to 24 inch and find a couple 10 to 16 inch wheels for the front to make it look more like the Warrior. As to box tubing I would think 3/4 would work. But this is all opinion based of what my head see's the 3/8 axle should be fine for such a smaller version. But in a very few years she will out grow it.
Good luck and have fun. Again this is opinion not based in facts.

I made mine out of 25mm x 25mm x2mm, and would have used 1.5 if I could have got it.
I'm 80kg/12.5 St

Had to stiffen the front boom, and I added a couple of gussets to the rear fork, for my own piece of mind.

You could "future proof" it by leaving the front boom longer for adjustment. Build it for 26"/700C-20" wheels and fit 24"-16"
Disc brakes will not need any adjustment when you swap wheels.
