when its finished i will put the final pictures up

Nice builds, how do you find those wheels on the trike ? are they stiff enough.

Nicely done.

I was wondering about the axles as well. Might have to move to 14mm axles after the first good pothole.

there's nothing of the person who owns it if he's lucky he weighs In at 10 stone ,besides its his build so we will see what happens there's no flex in the wheels although he is on about putting a set with disk brakes on at a later date

It might take a pothole half way round a bend--but it will happen.
Might as well buy the big axles now, as you will need them later.
Unless its dead smooth roads and dead slow corners.
I just loose it on corners--must go faster!

My test--grab top and bottom of the wheel and try to bend it--if you think the axles going to bend first (and you do get a feeling , strangely enough) than the axle is not strong enough. If the wheel bends---you did not get the feeling, but the axles OK! And that means about a 17 mm axle as a minimum!
You should not, within reason, be able to bend either.

just a quick update on the tadpole its still running really well on the mini moto quad steering joint but I think it is because he's only a lightweight at under 10 stone but saying that I have used it under electric power and it does still feel as stable as it was when we built it no signs of anything bending or going out of alignment
